Activities in the Allgäu and leisure tips

Activities & Local Area

The Tanneck is set in the heart of a region that gets you moving. Trails, mountains, snow, views – the scenery changes with the seasons, but the desire to be outdoors never does. In summer, paths, elevation gain and views take centre stage; in winter it’s all about snow, tracks and pistes. In between, day-trip destinations, sights and events await, making the Upper Allgäu even more exciting. The Allgäu-Walser Card adds to this with discounts and free admissions – ideal for anyone wanting to discover more of the Allgäu.

The Hörner villages - Tanneck

The Hörner villages

When you start looking into Fischen and our region, you’ll keep coming across the term "Hörnerdörfer" – the Hörner villages. It has nothing to do with people here being stubborn. Quite the opposite, in fact. The Hörner villages take their name from the distinctive mountain peaks that shape the landscape: the "Hörner". They ring the villages like natural signposts and give the region its unmistakable profile. The Hörner villages are Fischen, Ofterschwang, Bolsterlang, Obermaiselstein and Balderschwang.
