Around the Tanneck, cycling doesn’t start at a single point, but on several levels at once. The Allgäu here is terraced: Valley, hills, mountains. This is exactly what shapes the routes.
Between flat stretches in the Iller valley, rolling hills in between and alpine terrain higher up, routes of very different levels of difficulty emerge. Mountain bikers will find climbs and descents, e-bikers can enjoy the higher elevations with ease, and road cyclists appreciate the long routes through the countryside.

The Allgäu is a colourful bouquet of cycling options. Many MTB tours in the Allgäu lead through diverse landscapes and offer ever-changing routes.
One stage of the Radrunde Allgäu – the "Alpgärten’ stage” – runs right past the hotel.
If you’re looking for descents, you’ll find a special variant at the Weltcup-Express Ofterschwang: downhill scooter rides from the summit station back down into the valley.
Several cable cars also allow bikes to be carried, for example at the Hornbahn Hindelang.
